Dawn Binkowski, Registered Psychotherapist
Becoming a psychotherapist was a decision I made later in life. I spent many years as a court reporter in the civil litigation field listening to people in stressful situations. I realized I wanted to do more than just take down the evidence. I went back to school and completed the 4 Year Training Program at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto. This built upon my undergraduate studies at U of T in Psychology and Women's Studies. I started my private practice in June of 2005.
My style is supportive, compassionate, warm and honest. I will provide you with helpful feedback about how you get in your own way and I will work with you to find a new path that fits for you.
I believe it is important to find a therapist that you feel comfortable working with. With this in mind, I offer a free 30 minute consultation session so you can get a sense of how I work and how we work together.
In addition to psychotherapy, I offer, preparation, integration and breathwork sessions. I am also a clinical supervisor for psychotherapists.
I see clients in the daytime and evening in my Mississauga office located in Port Credit.
